A field agent finishes a collection round in a village outside Thrissur. In his bag: a stack of receipt books, a passbook that has to be signed by hand, and a day's worth of repayments recorded in ink. Back at the branch, someone will key all of it in — tomorrow, or the day after. Until then nobody can say with confidence what was collected, which borrowers slipped, or whether the numbers in the ledger match the cash in the drawer. Meanwhile a new loan application sits in a folder waiting for a signature, and the applicant waits with it. Paper is slow, and in lending, slow costs money at both ends — disbursement that takes too long and recovery that can't be seen.
That was the operating reality at MultiWealth Capital, a non-banking financial services provider founded in 2020 and headquartered in Anthikkad, Thrissur, Kerala. The firm was set up to back women entrepreneurs, rural development and small-scale industry, and its leadership brings over 45 years of combined banking and finance experience. Its book spans group loans, entrepreneur loans, women empowerment loans such as the Udyogini Vikas Yojana, and mortgage loans — served across rural markets where connectivity is patchy and the branch is often a long drive away.
Acube, an Official ERPNext Partner, configured the ERPNext lending module around MultiWealth's own loan products and built a mobile collections app for field agents that works offline and syncs the moment a signal returns. The result was a lending operation that could finally be measured.
The headline result: a 60% reduction in loan processing time from application to disbursement, and a 50% improvement in collection efficiency.

to monitor loan performance or evidence compliance. > The cost of staying as-is: in lending, the two things that decide whether you grow are how fast you can disburse and how reliably you can recover. Neither can be improved if neither can be seen. And for a lender with ambitions of becoming a small finance bank, an unauditable paper trail is a ceiling, not just an inconvenience.
An ERPNext lending platform configured around MultiWealth's actual products and approval chain — not a generic finance template — with a purpose-built mobile app for the people who spend their day away from a desk:
| Capability | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| ERPNext lending module | Loan origination, approval workflows, disbursement, EMI scheduling and passbook management, configured to MultiWealth's own loan products and regulatory requirements. |
| Mobile collections app | A role-based app for field agents to record repayments, update borrower balances, log receipts and capture borrower acknowledgements at the doorstep. |
| Offline-first with auto-sync | Agents keep collecting where there is no network; entries sync automatically the moment connectivity resumes — no lost round, no re-keying. |
| Real-time sync & monitoring | Field collection data lands in ERPNext in near real time, so managers can track agent performance and recovery KPIs centrally. |
| Workflow automation & alerts | Rule-based reminders and escalation on overdue loans, so managers intervene early instead of reacting to a default. |
| Dashboards & audit trail | Standardised digital records and audit logs across the portfolio — loan performance, collection performance and compliance evidence in one place. |
| Multi-phase training | Lending officers, field agents and administrative staff onboarded in stages, so adoption and data accuracy held after go-live. |

The change people felt day to day was simpler than the numbers suggest. A borrower's application no longer sat in a folder waiting for the next person to pick it up. A collection made in a village at eleven in the morning showed up against the right loan account rather than a fortnight later after a re-keying exercise. And when a repayment slipped, someone knew about it in time to do something — which is the whole difference between a reminder and a write-off.
We did the process work before the software work. Loan origination, approval, disbursement and the collections round were mapped as MultiWealth actually runs them — including group lending and the doorstep realities of rural recovery — and only then configured in ERPNext. That is also why the mobile app was built offline-first: a collections tool that assumes connectivity is a tool that fails on exactly the days it is needed most.
Adoption was treated as part of delivery, not an afterthought. Training ran in multiple phases across lending officers, field agents and administrative staff, because a lending system is only as accurate as the entries made by the person standing at the borrower's door. And we stayed past go-live — under long-term ERPNext support, the system keeps evolving as the loan book, the products and the compliance requirements do.

Yes. At MultiWealth Capital we configured loan origination, approval workflows, disbursement, EMI scheduling and passbook management around their own products — group loans, entrepreneur loans, women empowerment loans and mortgage loans. Processing time from application to disbursement fell by 60%.
That was a design requirement, not an add-on. The app is offline-capable: agents record repayments, update borrower balances, log receipts and capture borrower acknowledgements without a connection, and everything auto-syncs to ERPNext once connectivity resumes.
Two ways. Managers get near real-time visibility of agent activity and recovery KPIs instead of waiting for reconciliation, and rule-based reminders and escalations fire on overdue loans so intervention happens early. Together those lifted collection efficiency by 50%.
Standardised digital records and audit logs replace receipt books and manual ledgers, so every disbursement and every repayment has a traceable trail. That matters most for lenders with a regulated growth path ahead of them.
That was the point of building it properly the first time. MultiWealth's platform was scoped as a foundation for scale as the organisation works towards becoming a small finance bank — new products, more agents and higher volumes are configuration, not a rebuild.
They did here. We ran multi-phase training across lending officers, field agents and administrative staff, and kept the agent app role-based and narrow, so each person sees only the few things their job needs. Adoption and data accuracy were treated as delivery targets, not hopes.
