Not on the statement yet. A cheque you wrote that the bank has not paid stays uncleared. It does not cause a difference, because the system closing balance only counts what has cleared.

The highest rank comes first. The top one is marked Suggested when its amount matches and its date or reference does too. Auto Reconcile is stricter: it only takes entries whose reference number is exactly the line’s.
Left out to keep it readable
It ranks uncleared entries on that bank account: one point to start, plus one each when the reference number, the amount and (for Payment Entries) the party match. The highest comes first, and it is marked Suggested when its amount matches and its date or reference does too.
Reconcile both Payment Entries against the same statement line. ERPNext allocates each in turn until nothing is left unallocated on the line.
Create a Bank Entry from the line. In version 16 you can also set a Bank Transaction Rule, for example “description contains CHG”, so those lines are classified for you.
Usually a statement line that is not reconciled yet. Cheques you have issued that the bank has not paid do not cause one: the system closing balance only counts entries that have cleared.
We set up statement import, matching rules and the bank accounts in ERPNext, and train your team to reconcile. Talk to a consultant.
