Fashion stock is harder to count than it looks. A single design comes in several sizes and colours, and each combination sells at its own pace. Track it by hand and the shop can't say whether the medium in blue is still on the rail. Write bills by hand and every sale has to be copied into the accounts later — with GST worked out again.
That was the situation at Pranaah, a designer boutique in Kerala with one outlet. Billing was manual, stock wasn't tracked by size and colour, and accounts were kept separately.
Acube implemented ERPNext with POS: counter billing at the store, stock and inventory by size and colour, customer records and loyalty, and accounts and GST in the same system.
