A resort's front desk does a lot with very little: take reservations, keep the room calendar straight, check guests in and out, add up the bill, and tell housekeeping which rooms are ready. Run that on a register and an Excel sheet, and the room calendar is only as reliable as the last entry — which is how overbooking happens.
That was the situation at Sattva – The Awakening Garden, a resort in Kerala. Bookings were kept in a register or Excel, there were double bookings and overbooking, guest billing was manual, and the resort had no proper website.
Acube built Sattva a website and custom hotel management software: reservations and room availability, check-in and check-out with guest records, billing and invoices, and housekeeping and reports. Bookings are now in one system, double bookings have stopped, billing is faster and accurate, and the resort has a professional website. The project was delivered before 2019.
