ERPNext’s gateways come in Frappe’s Payments app, installed alongside it.
4 gateways in Frappe’s Payments app accept INR
What the integration accepts. Your account with the gateway must be enabled for the currency too. The app also includes Paymob, for Egypt.
Change the switches and watch what ERPNext ends up with.
Payment channel
What acts on the gateway’s message
ERPNext v16 does not act on the gateway’s message by itself. The request stays Requested until someone records it with Create Payment Entry.
Each Payment Entry against the request lowers what is left, and the status follows.
Payment Request ACC-PRQ-2026-00012
Grand total ₹33,642
Outstanding ₹33,642
Frappe’s Payments app, installed alongside ERPNext, includes Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal, Braintree, GoCardless, Paytm, M-Pesa and Paymob.
Not on its own in version 16. The gateway tells ERPNext the payment went through, but ERPNext itself does not act on that message. The Webshop app does for its own cart, or a Server Script or custom code can; otherwise someone records it with Create Payment Entry on the request.
Make a Payment Request from the Sales Order or Sales Invoice. On the Email channel ERPNext asks the gateway for a payment URL and emails it to the customer with your message.
Each Payment Entry allocated against the request lowers its outstanding amount. The status moves from Requested to Partially Paid, then to Paid.
Yes. With “Make Sales Invoice” ticked on the request, marking it paid also makes a Sales Invoice from the order with the advance allocated.
We set up the gateway, the accounts it pays into, and the step that turns a paid link into a Payment Entry, then test it with real money. Talk to a consultant.
