Start from ERPNext’s own Accounting page or the sales-desk example, then add, move and resize blocks.
Blocks, top to bottom

Narrow blocks widen on smaller screens: 5–6 go full width below 576px, 4 becomes half then full, 2–3 become a third, half, then full. 7 and over keep their share everywhere.

Twelve columns
Every block is a share of twelve. Expand and Shrink move it one column at a time — a chart never narrower than six.
Points at, not copies
A chart, card or number card block names a row in the workspace’s own tables. Rename the row and the block follows it.
Public or private
A public page needs the Workspace Manager role. Anyone can build a private page for themselves.
The page a module opens on: headings, shortcuts, charts, number cards and cards of links, laid out by the people who use it. Accounting, Selling and Stock each ship with one.
Widths are twelfths of the page. Expand and Shrink move a block one column at a time, up to twelve. A chart cannot go below six, a quick list below four, a custom block below two, and the rest below three.
Narrow blocks widen as the screen narrows. Below 576 pixels anything under seven columns takes the full width; between 576 and 767 pixels a four-column card is half width. Blocks of seven or more keep their share everywhere.
Only users with the Workspace Manager role. Anyone can create a private workspace, which only they see.
No. ERPNext refuses the save with a duplicate label error, because blocks find their settings by label. Two shortcuts with the same label simply share one.
We build workspaces around how each desk works: the shortcuts it uses, the numbers it watches and the lists it clears. Talk to a consultant.
