Untick anything your hosting plan does not give you.
It can’t run here
No — 5 things are missing, and ERPNext cannot run without them.
A small cloud server
Any Linux VPS with root access runs ERPNext properly — the same stack, with nothing taken away.
Frappe Cloud
Frappe’s own hosting. Nothing to install; you pay for computing resources, not per user.
Keep cPanel for the website
Your website can stay where it is. ERPNext lives on its own server at erp.yourdomain.com.
Not on ordinary shared hosting. ERPNext needs root to install MariaDB, Redis, Node and Python, programs that run all the time, a database user that can create databases, and control of the web server — shared plans give none of these.
No. It serves one web application, while ERPNext also needs background workers, a scheduler, two Redis servers and a Socket.IO server running permanently.
If you have root on the server, ERPNext can run there — but install it with bench or Docker as on any Linux server, not through cPanel’s tools.
Yes. Keep the website where it is and run ERPNext on its own server at a subdomain such as erp.yourdomain.com.
Frappe’s single-server Docker guide recommends 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM and a 50 GB SSD as a starting point — more than a shared plan gives one account.
We set ERPNext up on the right server alongside your existing website, and look after it from there. Talk to a consultant.
