The same ERPNext in every case. What changes is who keeps it running.
Effort and control are our assessment, from setting these up for clients.

Must the data stay on your own premises?
Answer the questions on the left. Three at most.
Yes. Frappe Cloud is Frappe’s own hosting, with a Mumbai region among others. You can also run it on any cloud server you rent, such as AWS or DigitalOcean.
Yes, on a Linux server in your own building. You then handle the hardware, patches, upgrades, backups — including a copy kept off the premises — and HTTPS.
Frappe Cloud’s documentation says it takes automated backups every 24 hours, covering the database, public and private files and the site config, with an offsite rotation on qualifying plans.
No. Frappe Cloud says its pricing is based on the computing resources you use, not on the number of users.
Yes. Download a backup with files and restore it on your own bench. It is the same ERPNext either way.
We run ERPNext for clients on Frappe Cloud, their own cloud server or on-premise — upgrades, backups and support included. Talk to a consultant.
