A laundry pickup service is a chain of small promises: collect the clothes when the customer said, clean them the way they asked, charge the price they saw, and bring them back. Each step needs a record — or garments, slots and payments start to go astray.
That was the starting point for The Laundry Cart, a laundry pickup and delivery service in Bengaluru. It was a new business with no platform.
Acube built The Laundry Cart a customer app, a pickup and delivery staff app, and a web platform and admin, on Android and iOS. Customers book a pickup slot, choose services and see prices, pay online or cash on delivery, and track their order. Bookings now come through the app, staff get their pickups on the app, every order is tracked, and the business launched and grew. The project was delivered before 2019.

The Laundry Cart didn't give us order numbers, so we are not quoting any. All four of these happened:

The Laundry Cart started and expanded.
A laundry order is a round trip — pickup, cleaning, delivery — and the platform follows it all the way. The customer's booking creates the order. The staff app sends the pickup to the right person. The order status updates at each stage, so the customer can see it and nobody loses track of whose clothes are where.
Showing services and prices before booking removes the haggling and surprises at the door. Offering online payment and cash on delivery lets customers try a new service without changing how they pay. And building for Android and iOS meant every customer could book from the phone they already have.
