MGS ran its self-drive fleet from a register. Acube gave the team one system for cars, rates and bookings — and bookings went up.

A self-drive rental office spends its day answering the same questions: which cars are free, what does it cost for these dates, who has the car now. When the answers live in a register or a spreadsheet, every question means finding the right page — and every booking taken on the phone has to be written down before the next call comes in.
That was the situation at MGS Travels & Self Drive Cars, a travel and self-drive car business in Kerala. Bookings were kept in manual records — a register or Excel.
Acube built MGS a web platform — an admin for fleet and bookings where the team manages cars, rates and bookings — and customised and supported it for a period after launch. The team handles fewer calls, and bookings went up. The project was delivered before 2019.

MGS's challenge sat at the centre of a rental business: the booking records themselves.
The cost of staying as-is: when bookings live on paper, every enquiry takes longer to answer than it should — and an enquiry answered slowly is often a booking lost.
A back office for the rental team — one place for the fleet, the rates and the bookings.
| Capability | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Fleet management | Every car recorded in one system. |
| Rates | Rental rates kept with the cars they apply to. |
| Booking management | Bookings created and managed in the system instead of a register. |
| Web-based admin | The team works in a browser, from the office or anywhere. |
| Customisation & support | Acube adapted the system to MGS and supported it for a period after launch. |
MGS didn't give us a percentage, so we are not quoting one. Two things changed:
The team spends less time on the phone.
Bookings grew after the system went live.
MGS's problem was the records, so the system starts with them. With cars, rates and bookings in one admin, an enquiry is answered by looking at the screen instead of a register: is the car free, what does it cost, who has it now. Answers that come faster mean shorter calls and fewer callbacks — and a team with more time to take the next booking.
Keeping it as a web admin meant the team needed nothing but a browser, and the customisation after launch fitted it to how MGS actually runs its fleet. We have built rental and fleet software for several Kerala businesses — see AVS Rent A Car and Sach Carz — and 70% of our work comes by referral.
A fleet and booking admin like MGS's is worth considering when:
Your bookings are kept in a register or spreadsheet.
Answering "is it free?" means checking by hand.
they apply to.
per booking.
, and perhaps add online booking for customers later.
If that's you, start with your fleet list and your rate card. They are the foundation of the system.
See what it would cost — Answer a few plain questions about how you work, and see a real figure.
The fleet, the rates and the bookings, in a web admin used by the MGS team.
No. MGS's system is the team's back office. Customer-facing online booking is a separate step some rental businesses add — see AVS Rent A Car and Sach Carz.
Yes, for a period after launch, along with customisation.
No. It is web-based and runs in a browser.
A back office that already holds the fleet, rates and bookings is the right foundation for customer booking later. We'd plan that step with you.
MGS is a Kerala self-drive and travel business, and its bookings grew after the system went live.
