A machining centre fails in the middle of an urgent order because its preventive maintenance was last done from memory. Scheduled maintenance tasks with checklists, assigned to the maintenance team and logged when complete, make servicing a routine and leave a history for each machine.
Foundries hold patterns and core boxes owned by customers and must produce them on demand. Recording each as an asset with owner, rack location, condition and movement to pattern shops or subcontractors ends the search across three sheds.

In the pattern shop, a customer asks for a core box last used long ago, and the storekeeper finds its rack and condition from the register instead of walking the sheds. On a tea estate above Valparai the same product records factory machinery, vehicles and buildings, with insurance renewals due next month flagged. In the accounts office in the city, March's depreciation schedule is already posted, so the auditor's question is answered by a report rather than a rebuilt spreadsheet.
