Bengaluru shoppers move between the store in Indiranagar and the brand's website without noticing; retail POS and multi-store software lets the business do the same.

Retail here is two cities trading at once. Chickpet and Avenue Road sell much as they always have, and Russell Market has kept the Cantonment supplied since the nineteen-thirties. Indiranagar, Koramangala and Jayanagar carry younger brands with two or three outlets and a web store, while the malls along the ring roads keep longer hours and change offers every weekend. Both halves face the same pressure at the till: bill fast, apply the right offer, and know whether the next shop has the size.
ERPNext retail POS gives each counter quick billing with barcode scanning, cards and UPI, discounts and pricing rules, loyalty points, returns and exchanges, and billing that continues if the line drops and syncs later. Behind the counter every store shares one item master, one price list and live stock, with GST invoicing and accounts posted from each sale.

A weekend promotion is explained over the phone and every cashier reads it differently. Pricing rules set centrally apply the scheme by item, quantity, date and store, and stop when the offer stops. Margin survives well-meant mistakes at the till.
A customer asks for a size the shop does not have. With live stock across outlets on the billing screen, staff confirm it elsewhere and raise a transfer on the spot, so the customer leaves with a delivery promise instead of an apology.
Cash, card and UPI totals are matched by hand at closing. POS closing entries reconcile each mode against the system, record the difference by cashier and post the day's sales to accounts, so a shortage is questioned the same night.

An example
The queue at a three-store apparel brand in Jayanagar reaches the door by seven. The cashier scans, the weekend offer applies itself, and the loyalty points a customer earned at the Indiranagar shop last month appear against her phone number. The next customer wants a shirt in a size the rack does not hold; the billing screen shows two pieces at the Koramangala outlet, so a transfer is raised and she pays now for a delivery on Tuesday. A return from the online store is accepted at the counter and goes back into the same stock. At closing the supervisor counts the drawer, enters card and UPI totals, and the day is posted to accounts before he locks the shutter.
Store roll-outs are planned in stages. Item master clean-up, pricing rules and hardware choices are settled remotely. We then travel from Kochi to set up and train the first store, watch a full trading day including closing, and fix whatever the counter staff find awkward. Later stores follow the same template, often led by your own trained people.
Discovery. Your stores, counters, items, pricing and how stock reaches each store.
Blueprint and fixed scope. A clear plan, the deliverables and the timeline, agreed in writing before configuration starts.
Configuration. Point of sale, pricing and offers, store stock, transfers and daily closing.
Data migration. Items, prices, barcodes and opening stock for every store.
Training, go-live and support. Your team tests on real data, we stand beside you at launch, then support continues under a plan.
The scope and timeline are agreed in writing before work starts.
Apparel and lifestyle chains
One stock and price list across outlets and the web shop, loyalty that travels between stores, returns accepted anywhere, and sales by store, category and hour so an owner sees which shop earns the rent.
Electronics and gadget retail
Serial capture at sale for warranty, exchange handling, accessory bundling rules and tight control of small costly items for counters in the old electrical market beside Chickpet. The service desk finds the original bill by serial number.
Hospitality and food retail
Fast counters for bakeries, sweet shops and gourmet stores attached to the city's hospitality trade, with batch and expiry control and central kitchen transfers to outlets. Wastage is entered daily, so production follows what actually sells.
No. The counter can keep billing offline and sync invoices when the connection returns. Stock across stores updates only after that sync, so we advise a backup connection for busy outlets, but the queue keeps moving.
A computer or tablet, a barcode scanner, a receipt printer and a cash drawer. Standard devices work. If your shops already own these, we test them first and reuse what we can, and set up label and receipt formats for you.
Yes. Online orders can draw from the same stock and customer records as the shops, which is what makes click-and-collect and return-to-store possible. Customers see one brand, whichever way they buy.
After a first conversation about your stores, counters and items, and how billing runs today, we agree the scope and send you a written quotation. The price, the deliverables and the timeline are fixed against that scope before any work starts, so nothing grows without your sign-off.
You speak to someone who does this work, not a call centre. They ask about how many stores and counters you run and how billing and stock work today. If it looks like a fit, we agree the scope and put it in writing, with the timeline, before any work starts. If it does not, we tell you.
Russell Market, Shivajinagarmarket
heritage retail market in the Cantonment area, built 1927 and opened 1933
The Cantonment's heritage market shows the trade a modern counter still competes with: fast, personal, cash-first. POS earns its place only if it bills faster than a notebook.

New stations change where footfall lands, and the Yellow Line has pulled shoppers towards the southern corridor. Hour-wise and store-wise sales tell a chain whether a location is still worth its rent.

The southern high streets of Jayanagar and Basavanagudi sit under this corporation; trade licences, shop-wise GST registration and outlet-level accounts all follow the same store master.
