Purchase sanctions, discount approvals and loan sanctions are often given as a message and then forgotten. A workflow routes the document to the right person by amount or branch, records who approved it and when, and holds the next step until that is done.

An example
A coir and screwpine society near Vaikom pays its women members for mats delivered each week. On a Monday the clerk enters the deliveries against each member's record in a custom form that carries the mat size and grade the society uses. The bilingual receipt prints with the society's own heading and the member's name in Malayalam, the layout the members have trusted for years. A member's advance is recovered automatically as part of the payment, and the balance shows on her statement. The society's president approves the week's payment run from his phone through a workflow that records who approved and when. At the month end the report for the federation comes out in the federation's format, from live records.

Yes. Print formats can carry Malayalam text for headings, terms and notices, and data such as names can be stored in Malayalam as well. Members of cooperatives and societies often prefer a receipt they can read easily, and the format can be bilingual.
