Two lorries from the press arrive before seven, and the yard boy scans each bundle as it comes off, so the receipt is in the system before the drivers have had tea. At eight the office runs the cycle count for one section. It shows six bundles short against the book. By nine the transfer register explains it: they went to the Angamaly branch on Saturday and were never received there. The branch scans them in, the difference closes, and the owner reads the reconciled figure over breakfast.
