Retail in Kollam is lively and loyal. Families return to the same textile house for every wedding. A Saturday before the wedding season at a textile showroom near Chinnakada. A customer wants a colour the floor no longer has. The salesman checks on the counter screen, sees two pieces at the branch in Kottarakkara, and raises a transfer while the customer waits.
