An example
Two storekeepers at an engineering works in the Kundara belt are walking their sections with a handheld scanner. Every machine, motor and instrument already carries a tag. They scan, confirm the location and custodian on the screen, and photograph the one panel that has moved to another bay without a transfer note. Nothing is written on paper. By afternoon the register shows what was found, what was not, and where three items now sit. The accountant sees the same list, and the maintenance engineer sees that four motors are due for service before the rains arrive.
