Counting frozen seafood crates by hand means staff in a freezer with a clipboard, so it is done rarely and badly. Tagged crates can be read from the door or on the way through it. Tags and placements are chosen for cold, wet conditions as part of the pilot.
Cashew kernel cartons of different grades are the same size and colour, and a mix-up at loading is expensive. A reader at the dispatch point checks each carton against the order and warns the supervisor before the wrong grade leaves the godown.

Possibly. If your stock can be counted in a couple of hours and losses are small, barcodes with good ERP discipline are enough, and we will say so. RFID makes sense when counting is a real disruption or when errors at dispatch cost real money.
They can, with the right tag type and reader placement. Water and metal both affect radio signals, so the choice is made by testing on your own crates and racks during the pilot. We do not quote read rates before that testing has been done.
