A collection agent leaves Cheruvathur in the morning and works inland where the signal fails within twenty minutes. At each stop he weighs, records the grower, the moisture and the deduction, and hands over a printed slip from the small printer in his bag. The app keeps everything on the device. At around two he reaches a point on the highway where the signal returns, and eleven entries upload without him doing anything. In the office the purchases are already posted, the grower ledgers updated, and the cash to be settled that evening is a figure rather than an estimate.
Most requests we get from Kasaragod are not for a website. They are for something a person carries: a collection agent recording weights, a delivery man confirming a drop, a customer checking an order without ringing the office. The web page, where it is needed, is usually the smaller half of the job.

Coverage inland and along parts of the coast is uneven, and an app that assumes a connection loses the entry. Work is saved on the device and synced when the line returns, with the user told plainly what has gone and what is still waiting.
A collection agent, a counter clerk and an owner abroad may each prefer a different language. Language is set per user rather than per installation, and layouts are built to hold longer Malayalam and Kannada strings without breaking.
