A private hospital in Kottayam town is due its annual asset verification. The biomedical engineer walks the upper wards with a handheld scanner, reading the tag on each monitor, pump and bed as she passes. The list on her screen ticks off items that belong on this floor and flags a ventilator that the register places in the ICU but the scan finds in a general ward. She records the transfer on the spot. In the store, a generator's service is shown as due next week, so a task goes to the maintenance contractor.
