Kannur's older firms and societies run on habits set decades ago; fixing those processes first is what stops an ERP from simply computerising the confusion.

Trusted by 200+ organisations across India & overseas — including

A society's routine purchase waits for the monthly board meeting because the bylaws never separated stationery from machinery.
A delegated authority matrix, approved once by the board, lets managers act within limits and keeps the board for decisions that deserve it.
Three people at a furniture unit give three costs for the same wardrobe, each from a different notebook.
One agreed costing method covers timber, hardware, labour and finishing, and the software calculates it the same way every time.
The same print job is entered in an estimate book, a job register and Tally, and the three never agree.
One job ticket carries estimate, production and invoice, and the month closes from that single record.
Many enterprises in Kannur are second or third generation. A weaving society formed by its own workers, a printing press passed from father to son, a furniture unit that grew out of a carpentry shed. Their ways of working were sensible once and have been patched ever since. Nobody can now say why a purchase needs four signatures.
Business process optimisation is the work of finding out. Before any software is chosen, we document how each process really runs, identify duplication, delay and missing controls, and design a cleaner version with clear responsibilities. The output is a set of process blueprints, control points and standard operating procedures an ERP can be configured from directly.

An example
Two consultants spend a Tuesday at a furniture unit in the Taliparamba wood cluster with one question: what happens to a dining-set order between showroom and delivery. They watch the salesman write it in a book, the owner re-enter it in a diary, the foreman copy the dimensions onto a wall board, and the storekeeper issue planks against a verbal request. By evening the order exists in five places and the cost in none. The following week, in Kochi, they draw the flow as it is and as it could be: one order document, a cutting list from it, timber issued against it, labour booked to it. On Friday the owner and the foreman argue over the draft, change three steps and sign off.
This is on-site work. Our consultants spend days in your premises in Kannur interviewing staff at every level, following documents from desk to desk and watching the floor. Findings are written up in Kochi and presented back in a workshop where your team challenges and corrects them, with older staff involved throughout.
Assessment. Interviews, document reviews and live mapping of how work really runs.
Redesign. Streamlined processes, approval levels, responsibilities and measures.
Control design. Approvals, audit trails and access rules that fit how you work.
SOPs and documentation. Step-by-step procedures that double as an onboarding handbook.
ERP alignment. Process maps and priorities your ERP can be configured from.
The scope and timeline are agreed in writing before work starts.
Beedi and cooperative manufacturing
Process and control design that fits co-operative law and audit expectations: authority limits, stock verification across work centres, wage calculation checks and a clean month-end close for diversified units.
Printing and packaging
For the offset printers' cluster in Kannur, one flow from estimate to job ticket to invoice, paper stock controls, plate and proof approvals and a costing method that survives a rush order.
Wood and furniture
Procedures for timber purchase and grading, cutting lists tied to orders, labour recording, and a handover between showroom, workshop and delivery for the Taliparamba cluster.
Because ERP projects that skip it spend their budget arguing about process during configuration. Settling how you want to work first makes the implementation shorter and calmer. The blueprint is yours whichever vendor you then choose.
That is not the aim and rarely the result. In most Kannur firms the issue is good people spending time on duplicated entry and chasing. Better processes redirect that time to customers and collections.
An audit looks back and reports what went wrong against rules. We look forward and redesign how work should flow, documented so staff can follow it and software can enforce it.
After a first conversation about the departments involved, how many processes and what prompted the review, we agree the scope and send you a written quotation. The price, the deliverables and the timeline are fixed against that scope before any work starts, so nothing grows without your sign-off.
You speak to someone who does this work, not a call centre. They ask about which departments and processes are involved and what is going wrong. If it looks like a fit, we agree the scope and put it in writing, with the timeline, before any work starts. If it does not, we tell you.
Beedi workers' co-operative sector (Kerala Dinesh)cluster
The Kannur-based worker co-operative founded in 1969 grew into one of India's largest beedi producers and has since moved into food products, garments and other lines; beedi is a traditional but shrinking trade.
A worker co-operative that diversified into food and apparel carries bylaws and committee approvals written for one trade, which process design must adapt for several.

Furniture-sector cluster at Taliparamba with a common facility centre under MSE-CDP; DC-MSME also lists a Kannur soft-wood cluster taken up in 2006-07 for diagnostic study and training.
Furniture units in the cluster grew from carpentry sheds, and their order, cutting and costing habits are where duplication and missing controls show most plainly.
