It is Tuesday at a cashew factory in Chandanathope. A lorry of imported raw nut is weighed at the gate, and the receipt opens a new lot in ERPNext with the cutting test attached. In the shelling section the supervisor enters the morning's output by grade from a tablet beside the scale. At the town office near Mundakkal, the documentation clerk opens an order from a European buyer, checks grade-wise kernel stock, and prints the packing list and export invoice from the same sales order. Most processors learn their outturn when the season's accounts close. With lot-wise receipts and production entries, ERPNext shows wholes, brokens and rejects against each raw nut lot, so a poor consignment is spotted in the week it is processed.
An order from a buyer abroad is retyped into a proforma, a packing list, an invoice and the books. In ERPNext the sales order carries through to delivery and a GST-compliant export invoice in foreign currency, keyed once.
Raw nut lies in a godown at Puthoor, kernels in another, and frozen blocks sit in a hired cold store at Neendakara. Warehouse-wise stock with batch numbers shows what is where and how old it is.
