An annual count means closing the godown or showroom, pulling in every hand and still ending with differences nobody can explain. With RFID a count is a walk down the aisle with a reader, done weekly, section by section, during working hours.
Stock goes missing between receipt and sale, and the books show only that it went. Tag reads at the dock door, the stockroom and the exit build a movement history per item, which turns a vague loss into a specific gap that can be closed.
In a furniture yard, hours go in searching for the exact sofa or cot a dealer ordered among hundreds that look alike. A reader sweep locates the tagged piece by bay, and the dispatch is confirmed by a read at the gate.
An example
A furniture manufacturer outside Perumbavoor keeps finished cots, wardrobes and sofas in a long shed by bay. On Thursday morning a storekeeper walks the shed with a handheld Zebra reader. In the time it takes to reach the far wall, every tagged piece has been read and the count is posted to ERPNext. Two wardrobes booked against a Kothamangalam dealer are flagged as sitting in the wrong bay, and a loader moves them before the lorry arrives. At the gate a fixed reader confirms the pieces leaving match the delivery note. The owner sees the stock position from his desk instead of losing a Sunday to counting.

Yes, with the right tags. Metal surfaces and moisture affect ordinary labels, so we use on-metal and ruggedised tags where needed. The site survey and the pilot exist to prove the read rates on your own goods before you commit.
Yes. As an Official ERPNext Partner we post RFID reads directly into ERPNext stock and asset records. For other ERP, POS or warehouse systems we integrate through their API or a file exchange, so there is one stock figure and no separate RFID database.
No, and we advise against it. Start where the pain is greatest: finished goods, one warehouse or the highest-value category. Once the pilot proves its worth, tagging extends in stages, and new stock is tagged at receipt so the backlog shrinks.
