A trading company with a godown in IDA Uppal and a counter near Kacheguda used to keep ERPNext on a tower under the accountant's desk. This monsoon night the road outside floods, the power goes at nine and stays off. Nobody at the company notices until morning, because the system moved to a managed cloud setup in an Indian region months ago. The godown supervisor bills the first dispatch from his phone on mobile data while the office is still dark. The previous night's backup was restored to a test machine on schedule, and the restore time was logged. When the power returns the accountant opens the browser and carries on where he left off.
Cloud work needs no physical presence, so being based in Kochi is no handicap for a Hyderabad client. Migrations are planned in writing with a rollback step, rehearsed on a copy, and cut over during your quiet hours, usually a weekend night. You receive the architecture diagram, the credentials and the runbook. A local IT vendor can decommission the old server under our direction.
