An example
On Tuesday morning two of our designers sit behind the registration counter of a hospital in the Adyar zone with notebooks and no laptop. They watch the receptionist switch between four screens to admit one patient, retype an address that the insurance card already carries, and ask the same question twice because the field is hidden under a scroll. They time how long a walk-in takes and note where the queue builds. In the afternoon they interview a nurse, a billing clerk and two patients who agreed to talk. By evening, back at the hotel, the first sketch of a single admission screen exists, built around the common case, and the questions for tomorrow's session with the hospital's IT head are written down.
Research is the part that benefits from presence. We come to Chennai to observe users at work and run workshops with your product and business teams.
